# T592 metadata repair evidence
Run: `20261028T222848Z-repair`; account: zeta3. The table remains a private draft.
The only document change removes `Data properties.digits: '100'`. The API
accepted the edit with `reviewed: false`, revision
`79d155cb5a5433a66f9e215a9cf417fb072af11e50c255d3fe4486561ac6b681`.
No values, arguments, definitions, programs or reviewed generator sources changed.
## Governing instructions
The coordinated archive is
`agents/runs/20261028T222848Z-repair-skills/manifest.json`.
Both archived versions were read and their bytes verified against the manifest;
they match the source snapshot's `.claude/skills/numberdb-table/SKILL.md`.

## Independent numerical spot check
`repair-20261028T222848Z-check.py` enumerates all 16 spin subsets of the
2-by-2 vertex square, independently of `generate.py`. It constructs the original
quartic exactly in the algebraic numbers with the positive square root of two,
checks the known four-cycle coefficient formula, and isolates its four roots
directly. It does not use the generator's reciprocal-polynomial reduction.
Sage's `AlgebraicNumber_base.interval(field)` supplies certified 560-bit component
enclosures; see the [Sage algebraic-number documentation](https://doc.sagemath.org/html/en/reference/number_fields/sage/rings/qqbar.html#sage.rings.qqbar.AlgebraicNumber_base.interval).
The exact algebraic coupling introduces no rounded-input error.
All four roots passed exact rational endpoint containment in each stored decimal's
plus-or-minus-one-last-place interval. Every enclosure width is below `1e-150`.
Root counts, simplicity and the unit circle were checked, and positive and negative
containment controls passed. This is a four-root spot check, not an independent
recomputation of all 245 values. No new values were written.
Sage version: 10.9. The process exited zero; its full output is attached as
`repair-20261028T222848Z-check.log`.
For reproduction, save the JSON response from `GET /api/table?id=T592` as
`document-before.json` beside the attached checker, then run:
```sh
sage -python repair-20261028T222848Z-check.py
```
This run used the campaign wrapper:
```sh
NUMBERDB_PUBLISH=0 agents/sage.sh "$TMPDIR/repair_check.py" "$TMPDIR/document-before.json"
```
## Preservation and rendering checks
All 245 ordered entries, including every stored character of every value and
comment, compare equal before and after. The remaining precision explanation
still states 100 requested decimal digits, and `generate.py` still sets
`digits = 100`. The generator was read from the website and left untouched.

Fresh API readback equals the proposed document exactly. The post-edit API audit
returned `clean: true`, `findings: []`.
The live metadata preview was fetched over HTTPS and rendered in Chromium with
the live site's resources. Its parameters and one unchanged complex entry were
included. The warning was visible before the edit and absent after it. Both
previews rendered 15 MathJax containers with zero MathJax error elements. Both
screenshots were inspected. Playwright 1.64.1; Chromium 156.0.8078.4.
The direct `https://numberdb.org/T592` browser request still returns HTTP 404
and says "You are not signed in." No browser session was supplied. The API key
was used only on NumberDB's authenticated interfaces. A metadata preview does
not establish the full draft's first screen or layout. Finding 1 is left for a
person with authorized browser access.
## Handoff boundary
The independent critique sidecar is unchanged, including its `revise` verdict.
The metadata deletion leaves its selection and generator hashes current, but
the outstanding direct-page check still prevents acceptance. The controller
must retain this same T592 draft, arrange that check and obtain the independent
critic's subsequent verdict. This repair does not accept the sidecar, offer the
draft, publish it, or perform human review.
The original reproducible generator and build checks remain attached. The
repair checker is supplementary evidence, not a generator dependency.
