# Build environment findings
The full-document update endpoint refuses an empty Numbers block even when
updating an existing private draft with X-Draft: yes. The refusal asks the
caller to use X-Draft: yes, but the snapshot's write_table calls
_document_of(request) without allow_empty=True, unlike create_table.
Observed twice on T618 while preparing the completed prose; both requests
were refused without changing the database. The definition and argument
selection were already prepared privately before computation. Resolution:
fill the existing draft with its checked generator, read back Numbers, then
merge the completed prose with those unchanged entries. No placeholder
numbers, second draft, source edit, offer or publication is needed.
This is a website behavior/diagnostic issue, not mathematical table policy.
Recorded here under the artifact-run override; docs/agent-environment.md was
not edited in the isolated snapshot.
A local scratch script initially named inspect.py shadowed Python's standard
inspect module during client import. It was renamed corpus_checks.py, and
screening was repeated successfully. Successful screening is recorded in
screening.json and the later API lookup artifacts; failed requests are not
interpreted as empty search results.
